Claude-Oliver Rudolph, born on November 30, 1956, in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, is a distinguished German actor, producer, screenwriter, and film director. He gained international recognition for his role as Colonel Akakievich in the James Bond film The World Is Not Enough (1999).
Rudolph's acting career began with a notable performance as the machinist Ario in Wolfgang Petersen's acclaimed film Das Boot (1981). He further established his presence in the German entertainment industry with significant roles in the TV series Rote Erde (1983) and the film Herbstmilch (1989).
Beyond acting, Rudolph has made substantial contributions as a director and screenwriter. His directorial works include Ebbie's Bluff (1993), a crime caper set in the boxing milieu, and Dirty Sky (2003), a romantic road movie about a young couple on the run.
